My fees reflect the hours of research, interviewing, and editing that go into creating a lasting record of your memories — whether through personal interviews and choosing photographs, archival digging, or genealogical research.
Hourly Rate:
$75 per hour
For consulting, editing, or custom work that doesn’t fit neatly into a package.
Packages:
Interview Package — $300
Four hours of recorded interviews, with transcripts provided. Deliverable: digital transcripts only (no printed book).
Story Shaping Package — $750
Ten hours of interviews, editing, and draft manuscript preparation. Deliverable: draft manuscript (digital). Printed book available at additional cost.
Archival Research Package — $500
Up to eight hours of archival research in libraries, historical societies, or online databases to uncover documents, photographs, and service records. Deliverable: research report (digital). No printed book included.
Genealogy Package — $600
Ten hours of family history research, including building family trees, locating vital records, and tracing ancestral lines. Deliverable: family tree and research summary (digital). No printed book included.
Legacy Memoir Project — Starting at $3,000
Forty hours of interviews, editing, archival research, and book layout support to create a polished family history or memoir. Includes one professionally printed copy. Additional copies available at cost.
Custom Research Projects:
Not every story fits into a box. If you have something different in mind, I’d be glad to design a package that works for you.
